Santa Clara, CA, Again

We're back home in sunny Santa Clara and its the middle of september. If you live in Santa Clara you know what that means. THE ANNUAL SANTA CLARA ARTS AND WINE FESTIVAL IN CENTRAL PARK!!!! I started off by doing some $5 rock climbing, very fun, then went to eat a cheesesteak sandwitch for another $5 and had a pepsi from the Santa Clara High School stand for $2. After lunch i went to the auditorium to listen to some music. Afterwards i visited some stands and bought a model airplane for $20. Altogether my day costed $32.Noguchi, Sharon. "Santa Clara Arts and Wine Festival draws 45,000 over the weekend." Mercurynews.com. San Jose Mercury News, 20 Sept. 2009. Web. 17 Nov. 2009. .

Victoria, Australia

Welcome to the constitutional monarchy know as Australia Victoria. Victoria has a varied climate from a cool coast to an hot north west region. I know one thing, I want to go see the kangaroos in the Melbourne Zoo. What fun for me and Ian Crutchlow. We also might want to see something that Victoria is known for, its cricket team WHOPEEEEEEEE.

The Sydney Skyline, right after sunset.

Beijing, China

After our trip to Taiwan, we took a short flight to China or Beijing. It is very chilly at the moment, because right now its about 7 in the morning. It is also the capital of China as well. The name literally means "North Capital". Beijing is renowned for its opulent palaces, temples, and huge stone walls and gates. Beijing's art treasures and universities have long made the city a centre of culture and art in China. The city also hosted the 2008 Summer Olympics. Beijing is China's second largest city after Shanghai, with more than 17 million people in Beijing's area of jurisdiction.

This is a view of the SOGO Department Store... :)

Taipei, Taiwan

We've just arrived in Taiwan, Taipei!!! Taipei is also the capital in Taiwan. The airport is partly cloudy and its lightly sprinkling. We've just rented a cab to take to to us a fancy 4-star hotel, with a great view of the SOGO Department, and right next to the market place with a lot of good food. We will also visit Taipei 101 which set a new building height record in 2004. Taipei was founded in the early 18th century and became an important center for overseas trade in the 19th century. The Japanese acquired Taiwan in 1895 after the First Sino-Japanese War and made Taipei the island's capital. The Republic of China took over the island in 1945 after Japan's defeat in World War II.

Berlin, Germany

WELCOME to Berlin GERMANY where many people are happy to know you can drink at 16. We have got to stop to see the autobahn, the many bars, and cultural dances. As many people know the history of this place has been rough with Hitler and stuff, but most people would rather forget that. Perfect day to go outside and drink beer because its SUNNY!!!

Pictures!

This is our picture of the pyramids. As you can see people, like coming to the pyramids in camels.

Giza, Egypt

We just arrived in Cairo, bound to go to Giza, because there were no flights there at the time. So we're just going there on a shuttle. The weather is a mild 77 with a light wind. The culture here in Egypt is very diverse... The pyramids are just mezmorizing... Truly Egypt has a very intersting culture and history.

Cape Town, South Africa

WELCOME to the most populated city in South Africa, Cape Town. We have a Mediteranean climate like in some of California. If its sunny and hot like today you should visit Clifton, a beautiful beach surrounded by expensive real estate. Cape town used to be an anchorage for British ships. Their culture has been influenced by British, Dutch, and French but has remained cosmopolitan.

Buenos Aires, Argentina

We're south of the equator in Buenos Aires where the climate is humid and subtropical. One of the nice things to come and see here is the Japanese Gardens. Historically, Beunos Aires is known for the beginning of the tango! Their culture is also greatly influenced by European culture, and they speak Rioplantense Spanish.

Brasilia, Brazil

So the plane just landed in Brasilia. It is a truly amazing and beautiful city. At the moment it is raining and there are thunderstorms too. Which is kinda interesting, since we don't see thunderstorms often in California. Brasilia is the capital of Brazil and was built in about 41 months from 1956 to April 21, 1960. The cuisine of this cultuire is very diverse, and every June they have traditional parties celebrating Catholic Saints.

Manhattan, NY

Manattan, New York or LaGuardia Aiport. It's quite humid here after we step out of the airport. Typically this is the rainy season for New York, and it quite lives up to its name. My friend told me that Donald Trump lives here! How cool! We coukd also look at the Brooklyn Bridge where I heard it waas super cool! Maybe I'll take some pictures

Santa Clara, CA

Were home in Santa Clara where the weather is always sunny, and we're going to visit GREAT AMERICA theme park. One thing you should know about Santa Clara is it was founded in 1777 and has an all American culture! That means burgers and fries for everyone.
